Seven riders across the three Yamaha factory supported teams will compete in the Rockstar MX Nationals starting on March 13, onboard Yamaha's YZ range of motocross bikes.

After a superb 2010 MX National season that included a championship in the premier Pro Open class by Jay Marmont , as well as four podium positions in the Pro Lites and Under 19 classes, Yamaha is looking to go even better in 2011 with a rider line up that is second to none.

Marmont is back for his fourth year with the industry leading CDR Rockstar Yamaha Team. Marmont made history in 2010 with his three peat of the national motocross championship on board the revolutionary YZ450F and already has his sights set on defending his number 1 plate for the fourth year in a row.

Joining Marmont will be New Zealander, Josh Coppins . The world class Coppins has just returned from a decade of competing in Europe highlighted by a second place finish in the world championships in 2007 that result was also on a Yamaha. Coppins is excited about the return to Australia and looks forward to the challenge of racing in the high profile MX Nationals.

Team owner, Craig Dack is thrilled about his rider line up for 2011 and expects nothing less than another championship from his team.

"In Jay and Josh we have two of the most experienced and fastest riders in the country. Both have won championships at the highest level and are prepared to do the work it takes to stay on top."

"The new Yamaha YZ450F has been an amazing motorcycle for CDR to develop over the past season and with the 12months of research and development under our belts, I am confident we can provide the riders with the best bike on the track," Dack finishes enthusiastically.

Jason Childs and Todd Woodcock will look after both riders on the mechanical front trackside, while Gary Benn and Shawn Hodgetts will be in charge of motorcycle development.

Serco Yamaha has loaded the Pro Lites class in 2011 with a three rider team that will have the opposition running scared before the first moto even starts. After finishing the 2010 season in 2-3 formation, Serco Yamaha want domination in 2011.

South Australian Kirk Gibbs and Queenslander Ford Dale are back with the team in 2011. Both had standout 2010 motocross seasons and have been rewarded with new and improved rides for 2011. Gibbs was the runner up last season yet won several rounds and held the leaders red plate early in the series. A wrist injury in late 2010 slowed him up a little, but he will be back to full strength by the start of the championship.

Ford Dale is just one race away from exploding into a real force. Known for his blinding speed, Dale started to get his consistency working in the later stages of the 2010 season and is looking to combine both for his best year yet.

Joining the duo will be Jake Moss . Moss won the MX Nationals in 2007 on board a Serco Yamaha YZ250F before spending the next three seasons competing in the US on the AMA tour. Moss is back with the team that launched his professional career and is looking for the same success before he left.

The Moss deal is unique in that he will compete with the Serco Yamaha team for the MX Nationals before joining Jay Marmont on the CDR Rockstar Yamaha team for SuperX later in the year on the YZ450F.

"We have three riders with real drive, dedication and the ability to win championships," states team manager Gavin Eales of Serco. "All three will be a major threat to win the championship and we are prepared to go to any lengths to ensure they get the job done on the track and the team gets it right off the track. We can't wait for it to start."

Michael Marty , Adam Jack and Peter Rabjones will be the men behind the team on the spanners.

After a tough freshman year in 2010, Shaun Redhead is back and ready to cash in on his hard work. Redhead was a junior sensation with Yamaha but took until the final two rounds of the 2010 season to get his mojo back up вполне специфическое the senior ranks. He then instantly moved to the front of the pack. He is looking to pick up exactly where he left of in 2010.

Alongside Redhead will be new recruit Luke Arbon . Arbon, of South Australia, is undoubtedly one of Australia's hottest young prospects and is super pumped to be joining the Yamaha squad in 2011. "For 2011, we have trimmed the team down to two riders to ensure we give them the best bikes and knowledge to develop them as riders and champions. Last year the team ran second and third in the championship and everyone feels we are better than that and are going after the championship in 2011," states head technician Darren Thompson .

Scott Bishop will once again manage the team with Darren Thompson , Cory Hillsley and Mike Ward in mechanical roles.
